And Time Keeps Tickin'

All we have to decide is what to do,
with the time we have been given. ~Unknown

Virtually, our lives revolve around time. Time to get up and start a new day, time to go to work, time to play, time to relax, time to spend with God, time to spend with family and friends... you get the point. Our life is full of time, time that we have to spend. We never know when our "time" will end. So, we must treasure every moment.

Speaking of this, no person's life will ever be just rainbows and butterflies. We will have good times and bad times, rough times... times when we feel there isn't enough time, times when we wish time would just stand still. Do you know what the bible says about this?

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says this:
"There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace."

Needless to say, there is a time and season for every occurrence in our lives. In our lifetime, our hearts will have moments of overwhelming  joy. There will also be days filled with seemingly unbearable sorrow. As Christians, we know that everything happens for a reason. When we lose a loved one or get our heart broken, in that moment the thought of  God saying: "This is all part of my plan. Trust me." may not be the first thing that pops in our mind.  But, we must not let the hard times steal our joy. If our joy is found in the Lord, NO one and NO circumstance can take that away from us.

Ephesians 5:15-16 says: "Be careful; live wisely; and make the most of every single day because you never know which one will be your last."

Are you hurting today? Joyful? Having good times? Or having tough times? Because there is a time for it all, and trust me you are not alone. Be happy when it is time to be happy, cry when it is time to shed tears. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, everything that happens is all apart of His plan.

Let Us Pray.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for this day. Thank you for this life you have given us and the time you have given us within our lives. Help us to use it wisely. Help us to understand that there is indeed a time for everything. When we are joyful, let us praise you, and when are filled with sorrow let us praise you. Because every second, every breath, is a blessing.
In Jesus's Name,
Amen.
